Do you need to pull an electrical permit for my work?
Long answer: Alberta law specifies that “Electrical permits are required for installing, replacing, removing, connecting, disconnecting or repairing electrical work except for replacing fuses, receptacles, switches and utilization equipment of a similar type where the replacement can be made without other modifications to the installation.”
Short answer: most likely if it’s new or is being repaired. If it is a simple replacement of an existing device, then no. Remember this protects you and is a great service provided by our municipalities.
Can you pull a permit in my local area?
While we generally work in Calgary, Rocky View County and Mountain View County, we can provide a permit anywhere in Alberta.
What if my electrical work was done without a permit and I’m stuck dealing with it?
There is a way forward! We can provide pre-municipality-inspection services to help you meet and understand the requirements of the Canadian Electrical Code and Provincial STANDATA.
Do you install LED lighting and power smart systems?
Absolutely, the majority of our recessed lighting systems are LED. We install dimmers when asked to that match the LED drivers so there is no flickering or LED fade.
Do you handle commercial service calls or just new installs?
We handle all sorts of commercial work, give us a call and we can see what we can do.
Do you handle data and communications wiring?
We have extensive experience in data and other forms of communication wiring.
Will you work with building services companies to manage maintenance on large retail customers?
Absolutely, we have multiple clients we do this for already.
I live on an acreage and I’m worried about a power outage that would cause my sump pump not to be able to keep my basement dry, would a battery backup system work?
Yes a properly sized battery backup system could keep your sump pump working for a reasonable amount of time.
Can I just put in a few panels and or a wind generator to offset my power bill?
Yes, you can in most municipalities including Calgary, and surrounding areas.
